October 14 Public Forum Cancelled

The public forum scheduled for October 14 has been cancelled. Meetings with city administration and some preliminary site work will be taking place prior to the next round of public forums that will consider design options for the site selected by the Library Board at their September meeting.

If you would like to be added to the e-mail list to receive notices when public forums are coming up, please use the Library's online Comment Form.

Well, I have posted 3 times on the Ames Tribune "Library Question" page. Only 1 has shown up because I said....I quote "the public is ignorant of the issues surrounding the library expansion". I assume they feel that is offensive, so they won't show that....but reading the 10 comments so far, I stand by my comment....the public is horribly stupid about the needs of the library...

Thank you for your interest in the building project. I believe the Tribune's website actually sends your comments to be approved by a moderator before publishing them.

Feel free to post your questions on this blog or submit them on the Library's feedback form. We will be happy to submit them to the Tribune staff when they ask us the other questions for their column. Keep in mind that this blog is moderated for profanity, so your comments will not show up until I have had a chance to approve it.

We hope to hear from you soon!
